An article for the World Economic Forum's Agenda on the rise of the idea of the “productive city” and cities' attempts to reindustrialise and use advances in manufacturing to generate economic growth and improve their quality of life.

For a special issue of Newsweek Japan on the adoption of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), I was asked to write an article on sustainable urban development in Europe, with a focus on the circular economy ("Europe is going circular and cities like Amsterdam are taking the lead").

Bei einem IBA'27-Workshop über die zukünftige Entwicklung der Neckarspinnerei in Wendlingen-Unterboihingen am 24. Juni 2021 werde ich einen Vortrag zum Thema “Mixed use 2.0. Gedanken zum Wandel im Denken und in der Praxis in London” halten.

In einem Beitrag für das Online-Portal Kölnarchitektur erörtere ich, wie europäische Metropolen mehr öffentlichen Raum schaffen und nachhaltige Mobilität ermöglichen, während Köln im immer offener zu Tage tretenden Wettbewerb der Großstädte um die Entwicklung und Umsetzung neuer Lösungen für urbane Räume und die Art, wie wir uns in diesen Räumen bewegen, merklich hinterherhinkt.

As part of a global exhibition project, the Deutsches Architektur Zentrum (DAZ), together with Storefront for Art and Architecture (New York), invited architects, urbanists and other stakeholders to share their thoughts on a sustainable and liveable Berlin. I was invited to participate and my letter, as well as those of numerous colleagues, will be on display at the DAZ from 15 November 2019 - 2 February 2020.
